Donald Joseph Qualls (also known as DJ Qualls) is a fashion model and actor American actor. After gaining fame through his roles on Road Trip he has since been featured in more than 20 feature films, including The New Guy Hustle & Flow and The Core. Alongside appearing on Breaking Bad Supernatural, Scrubs, Lost Law & Order along with several other. A survivor of Hodgkin's lymphoma that he was diagnosed with at the age of 14 Qualls is an avid fighter. The cancer returned to remission 2 years after the diagnosis. Treatment was carried out so quickly that it had a significant impact on the body and stunted his growth. Since he grew up in poverty, he wanted to be financially secure. He said, "I've been living so in a state of financial sanity for so long and I'm desperate for money security or else the world will feel out-of-control and that's not good for me." Also, looking back to his own youth, he wants to change the course of the problem of bullying. DJ states "Cruelty is a snare to my soul." The ideal character for him in films and in his life is that of father. But he says "Directors aren't casting me for those roles." He'd like to be the father of his child one day to be able to devote more time with his child and less to his career.
